Hard Hat Expo – a Team Effort
Once again the Hard Hat Expo, staged at the New York State Fairgrounds March 11 and 12, attracted some 150 exhibitors and literally thousands of contractors, municipalities and corporations from across the state of New York. And, once again Monroe Tractor garnered its share of attention with a jam-packed exhibit of popular construction equipment.
Despite blaring headlines that maintained the constant drumbeat of bad economic news, the Monroe Tractor sales team was kept busy answering questions and discussing future equipment options with current customers and new customers alike, who had flocked to the show from across the state.
“Probably half those we spoke to,” said John Dancy, Monroe’s Rochester and Syracuse Branch sales manager, were new prospects we have not done business with in the past.”
Interest ranged from those anxious to climb aboard a Case backhoe to those looking at the latest Vogele asphalt paver and everything in between.
The show is a not-to-be missed event and everyone with a direct interest in developing the Monroe Tractor business was on hand to greet and work with customers and potential customers, from President Janet Felosky and Western CE General Manager Frank Schoenacker to the newest managers and sales people who’ve come on board with, or because of, Monroe’s recent acquisition of S. C. Hansen – Eastern CE General Manager Chuck Miller and the new Product Support Representatives at the Albany, Binghamton, and Elmira branches.
Customers were invited to register for a $500 credit toward a rental at any Monroe Tractor Construction location. Dan Isabella, President of Dan’s Excavating was the winner. Isabella started his business in 1979. He currently owns a Case 1840 skid steer, Case 60XT skid steer, Case 435 model skid steers, a 580 Super K loader backhoe and his most recent purchase, a Case CX75 excavator, purchased from Royal Stanton, a sales rep at the new MT branch (formerly S.C. Hansen) in Albany.
